What is Hot Dip Galvanizing?
Hot Dip Galvanizing (HDG) is a metallurgical process where steel components are dipped into molten zinc at around 450°C.
This creates a protective zinc coating that forms a permanent bond with the steel surface, protecting it from rust, oxidation, and environmental damage.
This zinc-iron alloy coating not only protects the base metal but also provides sacrificial protection, meaning even if the coating is scratched, the zinc will corrode first, keeping the steel intact.
